About Us

Owners Peter and Kim always dreamt of one day returning to their hospitality roots, which started over 20 years ago when they met at the Sydney’s Hotel Inter-Continental.

Looking for a change from the high flying 5 star hotel scene, they ventured off to the Whitsundays as Resident Managers of an island resort accommodating 16 guests who flew in by helicopter for week long stays in paradise. Island life gave them their first taste of what it was like to run their own guest house.

Upon their return to Sydney they chose slightly different careers, but were able to draw on their experiences. Peter began working as a Project Manager for a major US-based IT & Communications Company, and Kim as an Events Coordinator for Sydney’s largest cruise operator and is currently a Travel Consultant with one of the North Shore’s most experienced agencies.

Today Peter and Kim are privileged to be working with a great support team at Broken View Estate who bring their own expertise to the property to ensure our guests experience in the Hunter Valley is one to remember.

Villa Manager Kerry’s attention to detail is second to none. Kerry was instrumental in bringing Peter and Kim’s dream to reality and is a born organizer and “Jill of all trades”.

Veteran Housekeeper Veronica has been a loyal staff member at Broken View Estate for many years and together with her local insights ensures that our guests are comfortable year round.

Together we look forward to continuing former owners Ian and Cathie’s legacy of sharing our little piece of heaven with guests wanting to recharge…rediscover…rekindle…relax.
